A favorite thing about mornings.
Right at dawn, before most people have started the day, there's a different feeling in the air. More still. More quiet. It is the best time to run-- down to the Common these days-- before the heat of the day gets oppressive in the Summer.
A random song that came on shuffle.
Stop! the train is riding down to the station where I lived when I was a cool kid. Hey! Is it my fault that the fallen embers burn down in a spiral round your crown of thieves? My body tells me no, but I won't quit 'cause I want more. 'Cause I want more. My body tells me no, but I won't quit 'cause I want more. 'Cause I want more. It rides out of town,
Somewhere to travel to.
"Come, Mr. Frodo!" he cried. "I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you and it as well. So up you get! Come on, Mr. Frodo dear! Sam will give you a ride. Just tell him where to go, and he’ll go."

Cheesiest thing you will ever see.

We were revolutionaries taking shelter from the storm, our voices raw, in the Pavement. Over some granola and a vanilla latte, she spoke of travel and fellowship. She was a study in contrasts: crossing her legs comfortably while watching me speak with focus that, in restrospect, was far more scrutinizing that I realized.
Something I could watch forever.
"I solemnly swear I am up to no good."
The more I think about it, the more I realize that my life is a miracle.
The probability of any of us merely being born are already astronomical, given the sheer number of confluences and coincidences that take place leading up to creation. Add to that this complex duality, this amalgam of scientists and pacifist, this impossible situation somehow made possible. Then take her: the description the same, with only the adjectives and the universe divergent. To find her, despite everything. What a miracle to live. What a miracle to love.

Five words that just popped into my head:
False alarm.

I'll follow you into the park, through the jungle, through the dark. Girl, I never loved one like you. Moats and boats and waterfalls, alleyways and pay phone calls, I been everywhere with you. Laugh until we think we'll die, barefoot on a summer night, never could be sweeter than with you. And in the streets you run afree, like it's only you and me. Jeez, you're something to see.
The last thing you said to a child.
"You did a great job today, Meagan. See? I told you, all you had to do was feel the music and let it move you. I hope you are excited for next week."
